Mr. Ismail Maalim Madey hails from Mandera County, North Eastern Kenya, and possesses a humble upbringing. He is a highly motivated and patriotic professional with a proven track record of over 15 years in administrative and senior managerial roles within both the public and private sectors.

He holds a distinguished educational background, including a Master's Degree in Global Business Management from the renowned United States International University (USIU). Additionally, he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Security Management from Mt. Kenya University and has further strengthened his expertise with a Diploma in Military Science from Egerton University.

Mr. Madey's professional journey began as a military cadet officer in the esteemed Kenya Army. His dedication and capabilities led him to serve as a force Protection Officer for the United Nations Missions in South Sudan (UNMISS) in Wau, South Sudan. After his military tenure, he transitioned to the role of a field security advisor for Africa Oil Sala Basin and later served as a Field Security Officer for Tullow Oil.

With a wealth of experience, Mr. Madey has held senior positions in the County Government of West Pokot, where he contributed disciplined insights gained from his military background to various administrative and managerial responsibilities. He has honed an array of skills throughout his career, encompassing administrative, financial, informational, and legal proficiency in the corporate landscape. His tenure as a Principal Administrative Officer has provided him with comprehensive knowledge of civil service operations, including expertise in drafting bills, policy documents, and handling intra-governmental relations.

Mr. Madey exhibits an unwavering passion for empowering the youth of the country. His appointment by H.E. President Dr. William Samoei Ruto as Principal Secretary, State Department for Youth Affairs and the Arts, is a testament to his dedication.
